Day 1 "New to Blog world"
I just want to start off by saying that in no way am I, or do I intend to confuse people into thinking that I am a professional writer. Infact, as you look at this writing, and all my posts from here on out you will notice that they are filled with incorrect punctuation and run on sentences. I will try my best but please understand my best dates back to my highschool life 10+ years ago and to be brutally honest, I was not great at it then. If at some point people do decide that reading my vents about love, family, possibly sports (Packers to be exact), and my quest for answers that I can assure you one thing. This one thing is something that was instilled inside of me as a child and became the focal point of much of the adult life that I have experienced thus far. This one thing is honesty.
ALLOW ME TO PROPERLY INTRODUCE MYSELF
My name is Joseph, my family calls me Joey, my friends call me Jose. I am a 28 yr old ex-Marine (8years) turned bill collector, turned factory worker. I have two children 5 year old Viviana from a previous marriage and 7 month old Isaac with my current Fiance. I grew up in a Catholic home but have found it hard to practice after the time I've served. I would like to type to all of you and tell you I'm extremely happy in life and that serving my country and fathering two wonderful children has brought me nothing but bliss but I would be leaving out the dreams, the fears and the constant emptiness that is a constant reminder of what I am in search of. Exactly what that is I'm not to sure of. Please dont get me wrong I love my children and time spent with them and I adore Katie(Fiance). She is actually the highschool girl I admired who turned into the woman I still to this day get goose bumps around. Our family like many Americans today is struggling with our finances but its a good sign that we now have the internet again. I like to think of myself as a bit different from most men (that i know anyways). I like nothing more than to see the woman I care for smile when I open her car door. I enjoy walking with her. I would rather spend my Friday night holding her watching a movie then out with the guys. Although I will admit, I am very protective of our relationship at sometimes downright jealous(theres a long story to go with this). Im in no way Mr. Perfect. I have a very spotty past. From fights to drugs(pre-military) to my pure enjoyment of consumption of alcohol. I want to wrap this up because its not my intentions to be publish a book on my first night! If at all anyone ever has any questions please do ask I would enjoy the interaction.
Let me tell you a little bit about my TODAY:
I was recently a bill collector but we are actually moving back to WISCONSIN! So, im the one staying home with our son for the next two weeks packing while Katie works. It was actually a refreshing second day at home with Isaac. He's such an easy baby I have nothing bad to say about him really, he just had surgery for a mild case of hyposapias 1 week ago and he's still smiles from ear to ear. If at all there is ways to post pictures I will. Im very proud of my children. Truthfully all we did today was just sit around and watch T.V. I found myself watching the Bonnie Hunt show. When Katie got home we went into our normal daily spat. Our situation is kind of reverse of most. She is not much of a intimate person, holding hands, hugging, being sweet to eachother etc. I push for it I really do because coming from the line of work that I came from (USMC) I have really tasted many near death experiences and I value my time on earth. She says she really loves me and would never have it any other way but Im hoping one day she plans on showing me because we had so many conversations pre- move-in that involved what we wanted from our relationship and so far she's really negative in points. I really love my family and I really love her and I want to make good use of this time on earth because so many are robbed of the opportunity. I never give up with her I never will. She's the love of my life. I just really hope im the same to her. Isaac was so funny today he just laughs everytime he sees me. I love the innocense of a child. The purity of their love. Im not sure why but I can relate. I look at the way he looks at me and wow the way he looks at his mother. He just about glows when he looks at her. I feel that, I really do. This is exactly how I feel. It reminds me of a great Alicia Keys song, I believe the title is "like you'll never see me again". PLEASE CHECK IT OUT! I leave you with this question. Do some people just love from a different place?
